Society 1858 is a group of dynamic young collectors dedicated to a new understanding of contemporary art in the South. We carry out our mission through ongoing art education and the 1858 Prize for Contemporary Southern Art, which recognizes and celebrates Southern artists and their contributions to the greater American art landscape.
